The Idea
Birth cards describe lasting patterns; a year card describes a season. It is a prompt for a single year, running from one birthday to the next.
How to Calculate It
- Add the digits of your birth month and day.
- Add the digits of the year you are exploring.
- Reduce to 22 or less. 22 is The Fool.
Example: birthday 07/04, year 2027 → 0 + 7 + 0 + 4 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 22, The Fool: a year of beginnings. Or use the year card calculator.
Working With It
Write the card down at the start of the year. Return to it each season and ask what has shown up. Avoid treating it as a forecast.
