What We Do
Birth Arcana offers a free tarot birth card calculator and a growing library of guides to the Major Arcana. It is designed for curious beginners and experienced tarot readers alike.
Calculator Methodology
The calculator uses the widely taught reduction method associated with Mary K. Greer’s work on birth cards (for example Tarot Constellations, 1987, and Who Are You in the Tarot?, 1995). Digits of the birth date are added and reduced to 22 or less; the soul card is the single-digit reduction. Other readers use variations, and we document ours so you can compare. The calculation is covered by automated tests across thousands of dates.
Editorial Standards
- Content is written for reflection and education, never as prediction or advice.
- We make historical claims only when we can point to a source, and we say when a tradition is modern.
- We do not publish invented testimonials, statistics or expert credentials.
- Guides show a last-updated date and are revised when we learn something better.
Privacy
Your birth date is calculated in your browser and is never stored or sent. Read our Privacy Policy.
