Personality Card vs Soul Card
Two cards, two layers: how you act in the world and what moves you within.

Personality Card
The personality card is the number you reach after reducing your birth date to 22 or less. It is read as your outward expression: temperament, habits and the strengths you lead with. See the personality card guide.
Soul Card
The soul card is the personality number reduced to a single digit. It is read as your inner motivation and the deeper lessons beneath behavior. See the soul card guide.
How They Relate
Because the soul card comes from the personality number, the two cards share a root. 13 (Death) reduces to 4 (The Emperor); 16 (The Tower) to 7 (The Chariot). Readers often look at what the soul card asks of the personality card: structure for transformation in the first case, and direction for upheaval in the second.
When They Are the Same
If your reduced number is 1 to 9, one card plays both roles. In that case inner motivation and outward expression point the same way.
